Exactly. They have merely fixed the problems of the earlier bikes. 
There is nothing revolutionary here.

Actually this is not true of all Jap sport bikes. The Suzuki TL1000R is 
a keeper as is the Honda VFR. In the VFR's case the latest version is 
actually less desirable than previous versions and there are others.
