RE: ABS

If that is what it turns out to be, I may just do that also.

Welcome to my world. When the dealer said he'd have to replace the pump
or the brain ($1500 each and he wasn't sure which one) I yanked the
system and put in steel braided brake lines. No regrets.

I have ridden motorcycles for 40 years and the first 36 of them were
bikes
without ABS, mostly BMW's.
I never had a problem, so if the problem is the ABS controller at $1500
I
will go back to ridding without ABS as I do when it faults.

My '00 R1100RT had the same symptoms with the ABS, it was the ABS
controller. I was under warranty and had it replaced by the dealer. It
is
an expensive part, ~$1500.
