Re: Keeping cool in the Dog Days of summer

Paige,
I don't know what ADA is. But I am sure that traffic laws are written to be
broken, after all it's an easy way to make money.
For instance, The 401 is a divided 4-lane highway where the speed limit is
100 kph which is about 62 mph. 18-wheelers driving at 115-120 kph. Police
usually do not bother you at 115 kph. But they could make lots of money any
time they feel like it.

  Paige,
Thanks for the idea, I'll use it next time.
In Canada we are not asked to sign a ticket when the officer hands it
over, he
can walk away ASPS., but it worth trying, certainly in the States.

Even if you just, just rolling with the bike, and it's not on private
property,
not wearing helmet is an offence. In Shopping Center's parking lot, the
police
has right to treat the case as he would on the road.

Not god, but it's still better than Europe.

Wow how different things can be just over the border!. Here you have the
option to not sign the ticket, but then you go right to jail! it is usually
a pretty easy decision.
parking lots are considered private property and Police won't even write
up a real accident report, they will make somekind of Unoffical report most
of the time. Ironically they will write a $250 ticket for parking in a
handicapped space.
I am curious to you guys have anything like ADA up there? It is a worthy
law but is so over done and abused, it is used mostly as a punishement not a
law to really help.
