Re: Dealer rates

Considering that the hourly rate what dealership charges is about $95/hrs, if the mechanic really did a thorough checkup, changed oil and filter, checked all brake fluid-levels etc. they cannot really charge less than two hours, even if the actual job did not take two hours. I am sure the time is charged from the minute they touch your bike to the minute it's parked. Further more I am also sure that the time you spend with the service manager also has to be covered. That does not mean that to own a top-end bike is the most inexpensive way of biking.

Subject: Dealer rates

I recently had an oil change and 6000 mile checkup on my 2008 R1200RT and the bill was a little over $ 200. Does that seem excessive?
