The contractor will be here Monday morning, 8:00 AM, so Mitsuko and I remove everything we want to keep Sunday afternoon and evening. This is what the bathroom looked like when we were done.

After the first day of demolition the tub, toilet, wash basins, and cabinetry were gone. Some of the flooring has been removed, too.

The shower, flooring, and much of the wallboard went on the second day. There is no indication of water or moisture leaks around either the shower or tub areas.

Final demolition: the room is ready for the plumber to come in and start making his plans. That will occur Friday – we’ll have a day off Thursday.
