I recognize the house in the background which puts this shot no later than 1959. That would make me 8 or less. It’s obvious the bug has already hit. Love that “Charley Brown” sweater. The bike is an early panhead, probably a 74 CI FL from the early ’50s. Any experts out there know for sure?

Same bike, on a trip somewhere along the California coast. Notice the hand shifter on the left side of the tank. My foot is resting on the kickstarter in the second picture -- it sure doesn’t reach the floorboard.

A few years later with a different bike. I wonder of this is the bike with saddle bags containing claw marks from a hungry bear in Yosemite? That would make me 12-14.
