A metric caliper helped match the supplied hardware to that called out in the instructions. The only discrepancy found was where the instructions called for a 45 mm screw but a 50 mm screw was supplied. No biggie.

The upper, or larger frame clamps do not fit flush. This is, I believe from reading the RepRom regarding the stock bag mounting bracket, by design. The gap should go down and the upper screw should be torqued before the lower screw. I assumed the torque used for the stock bracket, 8 Nm (6 ft-lb) was correct. No torque values were supplied in the Touratech doc. At this point, though, I left the brackets loose.

After mounting the cross brace I torqued all mounting screws, adjusting the clamps as necessary so the brackets were centered over the clamps. Probably not necessary, but it looks better that way.

Of course, once the brackets were done I had to mount the cases and see how they look. I like the way the exhaust shield fits. The cases are quite solid: much different from the stock cases.
