Groeger Special Tooling
2600 Bay Road, Redwood City, CA 94063
This is Joe Groeger scoping out the condition of the large bearing from the
rear-end of a 1966 BMW R69S (mine). It's an example of the type of things
that happen Saturday mornings at Groeger Special Tooling. (He found
indications of pitting on the race -- the bearing was replaced).
Join us as we talk about (and sometimes work on) old BMW motorcycles. The group meets just before 10:00 AM Saturday mornings at Groeger Special Tooling in Redwood City. We leave for breakfast between 10:00 and 10:30.
There's a mailing list for those who meet on Saturday. See the mail page for more information.

What should one do the day after Christmas... why take a little ride, of course. That's what I did.
Pictures from Norine (and a few from Chris) taken at Joe's annual
holiday party. Good friends. Good food (but *way* too much :-)
and good spirits.
Chris and Marc took a fall ride in and around Santa Cruz the last day
of November. Click on the image to your left to see some pictures.
Pictures from another fall mid-week ride, one to the north bay, can be seen
here.
Click on the image to your left to see some pictures of the usual suspects
after brunch on Oct 15. Joe had and early breakfast so didn't join us this
day, being busy with various projects. Actually, these pics are just an
excuse to play with the new camera!
Pictures from the 2005 Central Cal Campout and BBQ are on-line for your viewing pleasure.
Dick Zunkel says you can read about his alpine adventure on this page.
Chris wrote up his trip report of his ride to the national rally and back. Click on the following links for the story, use your browser back button to return to this page.
Note: The original report was written in Word which is NOT web friendly. I used an automated tool I found on the net to convert the Word files to HTML. I suspect some things got lost in the conversion. Since Word doesn't exist for my systems I have no way of knowing what the report was supposed to look like.
A group of intrepid mid-week riders search for the not-too-elusive
Wendy Punk.
The wusses who missed the ride to Castle Air Museum the end of March
went in early April. Click on the thumbnail to see snapshots of
some of the aircraft.
This just looks like Bob putting gas in his Norton 88 and Darryl playing
with his new camera. Actually Bob is checking to see what parts have
vibrated off the bike. It's a Norton... that has to be done every so
often. Darryl is ready to document the missing pieces.
WWWobble gets down and dirty after some early January rides. In early
February Marc, Chris, Bill, and WWWobble looked for new roads.
Jim's /2 trials and tribulations are seemingly never ending. Why
else would he have to replace a clutch with less than 50 miles of
use? While Jim was working on his bike Darryl and Scott found a
slinger that shows the need to tear
our engines down every so often.
