Just a note hoping that those leaving for Death Valley tomorrow morning
are able to stay dry. Safe riding and have fun.
Walter Heyman has this note for the group:
Ted Simon is an Englishman who 25 years ago, (age 45) rode a Triumph
around the world. It took him 4 years and after the trip he settled
in Marin County to write a book about it. ( It was called Jupiter's
Travels I think.)
He decided to have another go at it and he left England in January
to follow the same route, now aged 69 and now on a BMW.
He is maintaining a great website while underway:

On the administrivia front... the club pages are back on line. The best
connectivity I could get here (at a reasonable rate) was ADSL which means
that the speed in the me-to-you direction is only half of what it used
to be. Sorry. Those using modems to access the pages shouldn't notice
any difference, though.
