Hi Riders  
We were 15 at table at JD's in Castro Valley yesterday.
The last two to arrive, in a venerable Austin Healey (100-six?), were 
welcomed with a special warmth, since they were Fred Meyers and Irma Bozzi.
Fred is mending reasonably well after his harrowing injuries of April 30 
along highway #84.  He's been showing up at work at times, perhaps a bit 
ahead of the formal medical release, but intent on working his way back 
to normalcy.  It'll take some time.
And Irma even brought a bottle of organic syrup, earning her sincere 
gratitude from our end of the room.

Dan Bockmier made a very fine presentation afterward, with the right 
words to show that we care about Fred's loss of his Aerostitch, together 
with an appropriate token of regard and encouragement.  Good show, Dan.  
There was talk of riding Palomares Road, which was probably an excellent 
idea, but this reporter needed to head home early.  Anyway, it was a 
lovely Spring day for a ride.
