[smbc] Bikes Go to Weaverville

Bikes Go To Weaverville

Two Harleys, one Goldwing and one Motto Guzzi left the donut shop Saturday
morning at seven June 10th 2006. They were joined by an air head BMW on
19th Ave. When they arrived at breakfast in Petaluma, they found a late model
black triumph waiting for them. Shortly after they arrived, a red ST1100
joined the party.

The two Harleys left and the others waited for the Guzzi to find gas. The
Triumph was left behind to go on a different ride.

The Harleys went to visit Ukiah, where they filled up their tanks. When they
reached Willits they again joined up with their fellow bikes. While they
waited at the gas station, they were impressed with all of the Harleys that
were going to the redwood run. There were thousands of Harleys on the road.

With the Goldwing leading the way, the bikes traveled up scenic 101 and
reached Fortuna, where an excellent lunch was had by the riders and another
tank of petrol was added.

Next was the winding scenic highway 36 where the two-up Harleys indeed
struggled to keep up with the solo ridden sport bikes. Along the way the red
ST 1100 was seen going in the opposite direction, but later it joined the rest
of the bikes as they arrived in Weaverville. There awaiting our arrival was a
Honda Shadow, another ST 1100, a Honda 1500 Goldwing with Oregon plates, and a
maroon Kawasaki Concourse.

Some time was spent trying to bleed the brakes on the Honda 1500 as they were
not working, and then a nail was discovered in the rear tire.

A group of riders went to the La Grange restaurant which was excellent and
very friendly and accommodating. Another group drank their dinner and then
went to a music festival.

Sunday morning the group broke up, with all of solo ridden bikes going early
for a long ride. After breakfast at the Nugget the two-up bike riders helped
the Honda 1500 rider repair its damaged tire with a plug, and then they all
proceeded to go visit the Trinity Lake Dam. This is where the Honda 1500
decided to return to Oregon, and the rest of the group went to Lewiston, where
the riders and passengers had a Haggen Das ice crhme.
The two-up bikes returned to Weaverville for some pool time and relaxation by
the riders.

The solo riders were arriving home as the rest of the group was headed to Las
Casitas Mexican restaurant for dinner.

Monday morning the group split up with two Harleys headed home and the rest of
the bikes headed for Susanville.

All of the Bikes had a good time. Now tell me who the riders were.
