Carl wrote that a single overnight trip might be more easily fit into
other's schedules. That certainly is an option.
It would mean skipping breakfast in Santa Barbara and no ride along the
spectacular West Camino Cielo Rd, which literally runs the crest of the
mountains above Santa Barbara providing breathtaking vistas. I have to
add that much of it is a dirt road so those of us riding non-adventure
bikes would be taking it slow.
In any event, sure it could be a two day down and back without missing
the prime directive, which is the motorcycle museum and a great ride.
