Riders,

Having finally run out of lame excuses, I rode this year's Moto Melee.

I now have to say that all my Melee veteran friends were right when they 
kept telling me to forget about my niece's graduation, bald tires, track 
days, conflicting rides or whining about having no money. For less than 
the cost of gassing up a couple of mondo American carbon boot print 
petro-sleds, you get all your motel reservations made and paid, route 
maps to fantastic riding, chase trucks, bag o'swag, banquet dinner, door 
prizes and awards. And holy crap - Free Beer! Three days and a thousand 
miles of classic riding delirium.

I tip my cap to the organizers Jeff Guzaitis and Harley Welsh, plus all 
the riders who make the event what it is. If you love riding your old 
bike, you need to do this.
