Hi Riders
This morning featured a very pleasant breakfast at the Two Bird Cafe in
San Geronimo, where bucolic western Marin begins, out on Sir Francis
Drake Boulevard.
This place was apparently selected based on the recommendation of Rob
Hyman, who was there.
Also in attendance were Ralph and Suzie, a very nice couple from Santa Rosa.
Ralph bought his first motorcycle recently, a BMW RT. He was a school
chum of the Hymans.
As for the rest of the club . . .?
Maybe they were dissuaded by the wet ride across the GG Bridge.
Maybe by the distance, although at 44 miles, not very great.
Maybe by the route through several Marin towns, but there's still lots
of pleasant scenery, and its not an interstate slab.
But the four of us had a nice breakfast of gourmet Marin food, and good
conversation and company, in a very friendly and pleasant location,
courtesy of waitress Debbie, a welcomer of the first order.
So whatever kept the rest of you south of the Golden Gate, I would
endorse Rob's suggestion of this place as deserving of the SMBC's august
presence.
BTW, does anyone have a room they might share with me at Gardnerville
next weekend?
Please let me know ASAP.
Thanks,
Jerry Grainger
