It has always been my contention that speed limit enforcement is far 
more about revenue than public safety.

Well...this past month's Motorcycle Consumer News columnist, Fred Rau, 
researches to find a shocking number of states and municipalities 
(including Union City CA) that have become outrageously blatant about 
traffic enforcement being absolutely nothing more than revenue - by 
gaming the system to scam motorists out of money.

So the next time the nice highway patrol officer is lecturing you on 
safety, smile and know that they either believe their own propaganda, or 
are more full of shit than a stockade.
