RE: Spline Lube

I had to have the transmission replaced on my RT, because I ran off
the road in Utah this past May and hit a pretty deep washed out place on the
shoulder. It really banged the suspension super hard. The result was a
collapsed rear shock assembly and the transmission casting broke where the
rear frame set attaches to it on the right side. Amazingly neither of the
rims were bent in the process. Total damage was right at $5000.00.
I just wonder if the mechanic lubed the splines while he had
everything apart. I'll have to talk to him and find out. It never even
crossed my mind at the time.
