RE: Battery

Well, Matt, I recently replaced my battery with another one of the old type,
strictly over the charger issue. My local shop (A&S BMW in Roseville, CA)
opined that the standard battery tender was not suitable for the gel cell,
as had people here. The sort of charger that is suitable being shockingly
expensive, I opted to go one more cycle of an old-style battery, on the
theory that by the next time I need to replace it, the price of the
gel-capable tenders will have dropped into the reasonable range. The cost
difference between the batteries themselves was, by comparison, trivial.
