  While the other good folks on this list have provided you with the requested
  info, consider also using a service schedule reminder application. I have an
  Excel spreadsheet (with macros and VB so it runs like an app) which, amongst
  other things, is also a service reminder. It'll actually remind you that it's
  time to perform a 12,000 mile service, change your oil, etc., based on
  specified service intervals, such as every 12 months or 12,000 miles, which
  ever comes first, or other variants.

  The above mentioned service is only "workable" if you use the spreadsheet's
  fuel log (tell it each time you fill up), and/or if you use the trip log (tell
  it when you take a trip, which could be defined as almost anything you want
  including mileage for the week. You can get this spreadsheet free at:
