Cut Roll-up Door
Telephoto- Close as I could get
I went to San Jose to P/U my GS and swung by the shop, everything was blocked-off in a two-block radius. The fire started next door to the shop, I understand it went to six alarms. The fire lads cut-open the roll-up door where Joe stores M/C’s. The front door was ‘tagged’ (green), but I couldn’t get close enough to see/read. They were still pumping water on the roof structure next door, where the fire started for sure. The shop probably has some sever water damage, this based on the observation of debris in front of the shop itself.
Tomorrow - let’s gather in the parking lot across the street from the shop IF we can’t get to the shop proper.
Saturday
Doors Destroyed (3)
Fire Break Btwn Buildings
FD Installed their Locks
Good Help Hard to Find
The shop suffered a lot of smoke damage but away from the doors the FD broke through, and some minor roof damage, everthing’s just fine. Ten went to breakfast and some stayed to clean-up Joe’s lot which was covered in burned embers and debris, enough to fill his dumpster. The shop has no power and I suspect won’t for a couple of days. PG&E has a transformer right at the property line between the two buildings, it’s ‘toast’.
The building next door is full of debris from the floor above, I’d guess it’s a ‘scraper’.
