I adjusted the position of the handlebars on my KTM 790 a few days ago, restoring them to near the standard position. I’d rotated the bars forward at some time and finally decided I didn’t like it. However, at the standard position the clutch and front brack levers are not angled as I’d like them. I need to rotate them down a touch so that when straight fingers are resting on the levers my wrist does not have to bend.

The Clutch side is easy. Loosen the two hex screw and the mirror and lever assembly can be rotated. I also needed to loosen the hand guard so the cables/wires aren’t in the way and the guard is in a good position.
Note: A T30 bit will fit into the M5 socket head cap screws on the mirror/lever bracket but it is not the proper tool to use!

Needs loosening, too
I loosened the hand guard and the screws holding the mirror and lever assembly. Not good engough. The bracket fits into a notch in the starter button/kill switch assembly. I hoped the silver screw would let me rotate that assembly. Nope.
The second picture shows T25 screw on the bottom of the starter button/kill switch assembly that has to be loosened so it can rotate. The screw on the throttle assembly is loosened to it can rotate. That may not be necessary but I wanted the seam lines to match.
With everthing loose I sat on the bike and adjusted the lever position until I was happy and tightned the screws on the mirror/lever brackets. Then I tightened everything else.
