Yard upgrade

The back and side yards haven’t been updated since major landscaping was done in 2000 – 17 years ago. We stopped watering the lawn due to the drought in 2014. Today it is nothing but weeds and roots. The roots are mostly from the trees that were planted in 2000. Since the soil turns to clay when you dig down 6–8 inches the tree roots tended to stay close to the surface.

We’re having the weeds and roots removed along with an inch or three of soil and artificial turf going down where there used to be lawn. Sprinller heads will be dug up and irrigation lines capped.

The job will be more complex than simply laying down artificial turf. The turf will be extended to include the existing stone pathway. The stones will be inlayed.
